SRX25239109: Whole genome sequencing of African catfish
1 PACBIO_SMRT (Sequel II) run: 2.6M spots, 23.9G bases, 13.1Gb downloads

Design: A male Clarias gariepinus was sampled from a pond in Ekiti, Nigeria for genomesequencing. Blood sample was collected and quickly frozen in liquid nitrogen before storage. Total genomic DNA was extracted and sequenced using the PacBio Sequel II platform. Genome assembly and annotation were done to characterise the African catfish and serve as reference genome.

Study: A whole genome sequencing of Clarias gariepinus
show Abstracthide Abstract
A genome assembly of Clarias gariepinus based on PacBio sequencing technology was done. A male Clarias gariepinus (African catfish) found in natural habitat in Ekiti, Nigeria was sampled and sequenced. The sequencing was done to provide assembly and annotation of the fish whole genome.
